Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators of The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd episode. In the year she started writing that her real passion emerged. Then she won a second Emmy as a host of an excellent entertainment talk show. Between 2002 and 2010, Chen Moonves was the co-host for CBS News' morning weekday broadcast The Early Show. Prior to that she was the news anchor of The Early Show and anchor for the CBS Morning News, the CBS Television Network's early-morning, half-hour broadcast.Chen Moonves reported on several important news stories on The Early Show, including the war in 2003 Iraq. The anchor was escorted to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an exclusive and riveting interview with the father of the main terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program which featured celebrities such as Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Katie Holmes, Scarlett Jhansson, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the network's affiliate news service as well as an office assistant for ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her final year at the University of Southern California. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot, which examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
