Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD-TV. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases has led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell in addition to being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has covered such events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She also co-hosted for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
